Thomas Edward Michael: If We Could See Him Now

The Second of June in the Year of our Lord Two Thousand and Five,
Some gathered together to bid farewell to a loved one no longer alive.
Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church the designated place;
For Thomas Edward Michael, a Service of Grief, Gratitude and Grace.
Grief because his person is gone, we can share his presence no more;
Gratitude that God was willing to give him to us for these years, twenty-four.
Grace so amazing which led Thomas to pray the Sinner’s Prayer;
Then, covered by the blood of Jesus; now he’s breathing God’s air!
Thomas Edward Michael finished his course, his earthly life’s race is o’er;
Now to enjoy God’s presence, peace and true happiness forevermore!
We who are temporarily left behind have cherished memories which remain,
And the assurance The God of All Comfort will be with us through our pain.
